- Functional brain imaging research into the neural foundations of Oldowan and Acheulean knapping skills
- Exploration of the sociocultural context and material instantiations of skill and cogniton in a traditional knapped stone technology (Langda village, Irian Jaya)
- Comparative analysis of primate regional brain volumes
